Why Leadership & Mentorship Matter
Mentorship and leadership empower creatives with the confidence, skills, and community needed to succeed.
-
A strong mentorship program ensures that learning environments are designed with equity and accessibility in mind. By embracing diverse learning styles, cultural backgrounds, and lived experiences, mentorship can break down barriers that often prevent emerging creatives from accessing opportunities. Whether through workshops, one-on-one coaching, or structured programs, I focus on creating learning spaces where everyone feels seen, supported, and encouraged to grow.
-
Navigating a creative career can be overwhelming, especially without guidance. My mentorship approach provides structured support to help mentees define their goals, refine their skills, and gain real-world experience. Through personalized feedback, hands-on projects, and professional insights, I guide creatives in developing a strong foundation that prepares them for the next step in their journey—whether it's freelancing, joining a design team, or launching their own creative business.
-
Many creatives struggle with imposter syndrome or uncertainty about their abilities. A mentorship framework builds confidence by fostering self-awareness, critical thinking, and professional readiness. I help mentees identify their strengths, overcome challenges, and develop tangible skills in typography, branding, and user-centered design. By creating a safe space for learning and experimentation, mentorship empowers creatives to step into leadership roles and make an impact.

⭐️Mentorship & Leadership Case Studies✍🏼
📌 Empowering creatives and organizations through mentorship, leadership, and accessible design strategies.
Case Study 1: 📓 Inclusive Wellness Workbook Design – The Art of Becoming: Self-Loving
📌 Designing an accessible, interactive, and healing-centered wellness workbook that fosters self-love, reflection, and emotional well-being.
😥 The Challenge
Many self-taught designers and artists struggle with self-doubt, imposter syndrome, and creative direction. They often feel overwhelmed by external expectations, comparing themselves to others, and unsure about how to develop their own artistic voice and unique style.
💡 The Solution
I designed a mentorship experience rooted in self-discovery, confidence-building, and artistic identity to help mentees:
✔ Find clarity in their creative identity and unique style
✔ Develop a consistent and authentic artistic voice
✔ Overcome imposter syndrome and build confidence in their work
✔ Create with purpose, rather than just following trends
🎯 My Process
1. Mindset & Confidence Sessions
We worked through limiting beliefs and reframed self-doubt into creative empowerment.
2. Exploration & Play
I encouraged mentees to step away from perfectionism and experiment with different styles, colors, and techniques.
3. Authenticity Over Trends
Instead of chasing what’s popular, we focused on creating work that felt personal, aligned, and true to their values.
4. Visual & Creative Identity Development
Through iterative exercises, mentees refined a style that felt like them, not just an imitation of others.
5. Personal Creative Framework
Each mentee walked away with their own personalized creative roadmap to sustain their confidence and artistic journey.
📢 The Impact
✅ Mentees developed a stronger sense of self and artistic identity
✅ Increased confidence in sharing their work publicly and receiving feedback
✅ A deeper connection to their art, leading to more fulfilling and meaningful creations
✅ Greater creative freedom, stepping away from comparison and embracing their unique journey

Case Study 2: Creating Leadership & Mentorship Programs for The Art of Becoming (AOB)
📌 Designed accessible mentorship programs for AOB, fostering self-love, reflection, and growth through user-centered design.
😥 The Challenge
As a co-founder of The Art of Becoming (AOB), I recognized a need for structured leadership and mentorship programs that:
Empower emerging artists and creatives with confidence and self-reflection tools
Provide guided mentorship frameworks for individuals navigating their creative and personal growth journeys
Create scalable workshops and curriculum that promote leadership, wellness, and accessibility
While AOB had strong foundational values in self-love, healing, and art as a tool for transformation, there was a need to develop a structured mentorship model that could be adapted for different audiences, from youth to professional creatives
💡 The Solution
I co-designed a mentorship and leadership development program that provided:
✔ Guided mentorship frameworks for participants to explore self-identity and creative leadership
✔ Workshops focused on self-reflection, emotional intelligence, and confidence-building
✔ Hands-on activities integrating art, journaling, and discussion to promote healing and empowerment
✔ Scalable mentorship structures that could be applied in after-school programs, clinical spaces, and community organizations
✔ Collaborative Curriculum Development Partnered with my own mentors and creative collaborators to strengthen the program’s impact and ensure it resonates with diverse groups
🎯 My Process

Collaborated with mentors and partners to build structured lesson plans incorporating self-reflection, leadership, and creative expression
2. Mentorship Facilitation
Led 1:1 and group mentorship sessions centered on identity, resilience, and storytelling through art
3. Leadership Training for Facilitators
Developed frameworks for peer mentorship and leadership, empowering participants to guide future sessions
4. Responsive Program Design
Utilized my network of resources and ongoing feedback to adapt the curriculum for various audiences, ensuring responsiveness and relevance
5. Adapting for Different Audiences
Designed program variations tailored for youth, mental health professionals, and creative entrepreneurs
📢 The Impact
✅ Participants gained clarity in their personal and creative leadership styles
✅ Mentees developed confidence in their voice, storytelling, and ability to lead
✅ The program expanded into after-school programs, community wellness spaces, and mentorship networks
✅ AOB’s mentorship framework became an adaptable model for healing-centered education and creative leadership
AOB Intern
The biggest change in my life has been emotional. I’ve shifted the way I view myself, and that has been a significant step forward for me. I used to have a very negative perception of myself and often felt uncertain about what I would do after graduating college. This shift in mindset has helped me see my potential in a new light.
